Visual Drama from a flat site
Built around several large lakes, this N&H championship course features some interesting and dramatic elevation changes out of the previously flat site. Special earthwork methods, including pumping of the sand, were used to dig the course into the water table to give the significant elevation changes and balance the earthworks on site.
As usual with N&H courses, wide fairways are often disguised as mere slivers of landing areas by clever use of perspectives and bunkering. Though the course is set in a rapidly growing industrial area, its views are clear to the horizon and the surrounding hills.
